Revengers 8-1 Marine Maintenance | Seychelles Championship

Revengers put on a scintillating display as they secured a resounding 8-1 victory over Marine Maintenance FC in a Seychelles Championship clash at Stad Amitie on Saturday.

The match started with Revengers taking control early on, with Henintsoa Rafaliniaina opening the scoring in the 18th minute to give his team the lead. Said Vidot doubled the advantage just before halftime, ensuring a comfortable 2-0 lead for Revengers at the break.

In the second half, Revengers continued their dominance, with Tahinasoa Rakoto Hariniaina adding a third goal in the 57th minute. Rafaliniaina then completed his hat-trick with goals in the 67th and 69th minutes, showcasing his clinical finishing.

Marine Maintenance did manage to pull one back, with Fredo Rahelinadrasana finding the net in the 77th minute. However, Revengers swiftly responded, with Jude Manuel Ramsy Rose scoring in the 78th minute to make it 6-1.

The goal fest continued, as Eronn Dannio Mario Vidot netted in the 88th minute, followed by Francis Dan Louise scoring in stoppage time to seal an emphatic 8-1 victory for Revengers.

This win marks another impressive result in Revengers’ remarkable season. After a slow start, they have found their stride and are now sitting in third place in the Seychelles Championship, level on points with Bel Air. Real Maldive maintains their lead at the top with a comfortable eight-point cushion.

Meanwhile, Marine Maintenance continues to struggle for consistency, often dropping points after a victory. They remain one of the leakiest defenses in the league, conceding 25 goals thus far.

Revengers’ attacking duo of R. Henintsoa and Rakoto Tahinasoa have been instrumental in their success, with Henintsoa ranking fourth and Tahinasoa fifth in the league’s top goal scorers list.

Revengers’ resurgence is a testament to their determination and ability to turn their season around. As they continue to impress, they pose a real threat to the league’s top contenders.
