Throughout the match, LMS United maintained control, occasionally allowing Marine Maintenance a glimmer of opportunity but swiftly reclaiming their authority for sustained periods.
The first half concluded with a 3-1 scoreline, but it could have been even more lopsided in favor of LMS United, who showcased their exceptional quality on the pitch. The second half commenced with two penalties awarded to LMS United, effectively sealing the three points that were firmly within their grasp.
There is no cause for Marine Maintenance to hang their heads in disappointment, for they faced a formidable opponent in LMS United, a team brimming with confidence since the beginning of 2024. Their remarkable transformation since the festive break has left them virtually unrecognizable. Even prior to the break, we had noticed their commendable style of play and remarked in our previous articles that they did not resemble a team destined to languish at the bottom of the table. However, their current form has surpassed all expectations.
