The Intelvision Coach of the Season for the 2023/24 Seychelles Premier League is about to be announced. This award comes after Makhan-Bristol Cissoko was named the Intelvision Young Player of the Season. Now, the spotlight shifts to the top coaches who led their teams to success.
The first nominee for the Intelvision Coach of the Season 2023/24 is Gavin Jeanne of Saint Louis FC. Last year, he worked wonders with Red Star DF. This season, Jeanne has brought the Seychelles Premier League title back to Saint Louis FC after many years. Saint Louis had an impressive record of 13 wins, 2 draws, and 3 losses, with the best defensive line in the league, conceding only 18 goals and boasting a goal difference of +17, the highest in the league.
The next nominee for the Intelvision Coach of the Season 2023/24 is Harold Hoareau of Foresters FC. His team finished the season with two trophies – the President’s Cup and the SFF Cup. In the Seychelles Premier League, Foresters finished second, just 6 points behind champions Saint Louis FC. Foresters scored the most goals in the league with 37, and they finished the season strongly with 3 consecutive wins. Both of Hoareau’s cup wins came against rivals from La Digue island, La Passe FC.
The next nominee for the Intelvision Coach of the Season 2023/24 is Ted Esther of Lightstars FC. Before the season, no one expected Lightstars to finish above St. Michel, La Passe, or local rivals Cote d’Or, but Esther led them to a surprise 3rd-place finish. With just 5 rounds to go, Lightstars even topped the league table for a day, looking like potential champions. Under Esther’s guidance, Renick Esther also finished as the top scorer in the Seychelles Premier League this season.
