The AI gave predictions on how teams in the Seychelles Championship will perform. It said which teams are expected to do well and why.
We may not fully agree with the AI’s predictions, but it could know things we don’t. The future remains to be seen!
Bel Air – Champions
Expected to finish at the top. As one of the richest clubs in the division and a consistent title contender, Bel Air impressed by winning the pre-season Inner Islands Tournament, showcasing their strength.
Rovers FC – Runners-up
Expected to fight for the title. Rovers FC have made several signings, including young players from Madagascar, players from Premier League (Tarick Maringo and Darren Gonzalves both from Northern Dynamo), and brought in a top goalkeeper Jerome Dingwall, making them a strong contender this season.
Marine Victoria City FC – 3rd
Expected to finish in the top half. Marine have invested heavily in their squad, signing several talented players from the Premier League (Leonard Besabotsy for example from Red Star DF), and believe they can vastly improve on their previous performances. Marine Victoria City looks fresh now, from the squad to the social media accounts. We are excited to see what they can do this season.
Revengers – 4th
Expected to finish in the top half. As the only team from Praslin island, Revengers are always a tough away opponent, and they have managed to retain their foreign players while adding some promising local talent.
Mont Fleuri – 5th
Expected to be a mid-table team. Despite retaining their star player Jean Aimarthelin, it remains to be seen if he can single-handedly carry the team to success for another season.
Bosco – 6th
Expected to finish in the middle of the table. Bosco have made changes, including bringing in a former national team coach Vivian Bothe, and will rely on the continued performance of their star player Phelistin Ciel.
Tigers FC – 7th
Expected to finish in the lower half. Tigers FC have lost several important players (Clariel, Esther…) and also lost the head coach who signed with St. Michel United, after failing to gain promotion last season, and it’s unclear if they can recapture their previous form.
Beau Vallon – 8th
Expected to avoid relegation. Newly promoted from the 3rd division, Beau Vallon have invested in their squad, signing foreign players, and hope to establish themselves in the 2nd division.
LMS United – 9th
Expected to struggle. LMS United are facing difficulties in finalising their roster before the season starts, and have lost some key players to other teams, making their prospects uncertain.
Defence Forces – Last
Expected to battle against relegation. Relegated from the Premier League, Defence Forces have lost many of their key players, and their ability to compete in the 2nd division remains a major question mark.
