In the 88th minute, Warren Mellie scored with a header, reducing the deficit to 3-2. This goal sparked a late flurry of activity as Real Maldive pushed for an equaliser. They had a few opportunities to score but ultimately could not find the back of the net.
With this victory, La Passe moved to 13 points in the league, now just five points behind leaders Anse Reunion. The upcoming match, the “Battle of La Digue Island” derby, offers La Passe a chance to close the gap to just two points.
