Rovers 1-4 Bel Air | Seychelles Championship

Bel Air delivered a commanding performance as they triumphed 4-1 over Rovers at Stad Linite. The match, played on 09 Jan 2023, showcased Bel Air’s resilience and clinical finishing.

In the 4th minute, Bertio Ramanajatompo opened the scoring, setting the tone for Bel Air’s dominance. Despite Rovers’ initial control in the first half, they found themselves trailing 0-3 at halftime. Goals from Noris Bibi and Terry Estico extended Bel Air’s lead.

The second half presented a challenging situation when Yan Ian Francisco Bibi received a second yellow card and was sent off within minutes of the restart. However, even with ten men, Bel Air managed to find the net again through Noris Bibi in the 60th minute.

Although Musa Njie pulled one back for Rovers in the 70th minute, it was not enough to stage a comeback. Bel Air emerged victorious, securing an important win.

This victory marks Bel Air’s second win in their last five games, solidifying their position in the second spot of the Seychelles Championship. With one point more than Tigers, Bel Air is in a strong position. Meanwhile, Rovers currently sits in the sixth spot, trailing Bel Air by five points but with a game in hand. A potential win for Rovers would bring them within two points of a playoff spot.

Additionally, Bertio Ramanajatompo’s goal in this match propelled him into the Top 10 goal scorers in the 2nd Division, adding another achievement to Bel Air’s successful campaign.
