The results are in, and the Intelvision Young Player of the Season for the 2023/24 campaign has been awarded to Makhan Bristol-Cissoko of the Foresters.
Cissoko emerged victorious in the public voting poll, garnering 38% of the total votes cast. He narrowly edged out Lorenzo Hoareau of St. Louis, who finished a close second with 32% of the votes. Justin Riaze of St. Louis came in third with 18%, while Imra Raheriniaina of St. Michel rounded out the top four with 13% of the votes.
This is a well-deserved accolade for the young Foresters star, who has impressed throughout the season with his dynamic performances on the pitch. Cissoko’s standout moment came in Round 11, when he came off the bench in the 60th minute against Cote d’Or and immediately made an impact. He provided a crucial assist with a long pass and then scored a goal himself, helping his team secure a 2-0 victory and maintain their position at the top of the league table.
At the moment, Cissoko is away on international duty with the Seychelles national team, as they prepare to face The Gambia and Burundi in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. This recognition as the Intelvision Young Player of the Season will undoubtedly provide a boost to his confidence and serve as a testament to his growing talent on the global stage.
Congratulations to Makhan Bristol-Cissoko on this impressive achievement! The young player’s dedication and skills have been duly rewarded, and he can look forward to an exciting future in the sport.
