Beau Vallon maintained their unbeaten start to the Seychelles Championship season with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Mont Fleuri at Stad Linite on Tuesday. The newly-promoted side has been a revelation so far, occupying second place in the table after four rounds of matches.
Mont Fleuri, meanwhile, have been inconsistent, hovering just two points above the relegation zone. Jean Aimarthelin’s brace was not enough to secure a point against a determined Beau Vallon side.
Fabrice, the Intelvision Player of the Round for both Round 2 and Round 3, continued his impressive form for Beau Vallon. The former Anse Reunion player has been a key figure in the team’s success since joining earlier this year.
The match was a closely contested affair, with both teams creating numerous chances. Aimarthelin opened the scoring for Mont Fleuri in the 15th minute, but Carlos leveled the score just five minutes later. Fabrice put Beau Vallon ahead in the 70th minute, but Aimarthelin responded with his second goal of the match to make it 2-2. However, Fabrice had the final say, scoring a late winner to secure the victory for Beau Vallon.
The win extends Beau Vallon’s unbeaten run to four matches. They are now one of only five teams in the Seychelles football who have yet to lose a game this season. In 2 weeks they will face St. Michel United in the preliminary round of the SFF Cup on October 30th.
