Lightstars secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Northern Dynamo in a Seychelles Premier League clash held at Stad Amitie (Praslin island) on Friday.
Nirina Angericot Ramiariniandry emerged as the star of the match, netting a remarkable hat-trick for Lightstars. His goals came in the 32nd, 81st (from a penalty kick), and 87th minute, showcasing his goal-scoring prowess. The other goal for Lightstars was scored by Renick Esther in the 36th minute. Tolotra Rajomanana Rakotondrasoa provided a consolation goal for Northern Dynamo just before halftime.
With this win, Lightstars solidify their position among the top four teams in the league, all of whom currently have 13 points each. Meanwhile, Northern Dynamo finds themselves struggling near the bottom of the table, with only four points to their name. They are trailing behind Anse Reunion and PTL Bazar Brothers by two points, and are precariously positioned in the relegation zone, just two points away from the Play-Out zone.
Ramiariniandry’s hattrick not only contributed to Lightstars’ victory but also elevated him to the second-highest goalscorer in the Seychelles Premier League.
