Seysoccer: What are your thoughts on today’s match against Mauritius?

Pascalina Moustache: Today, we were 100% the better team than Mauritius. We had all the possession, created more chances to score, and had greater opportunities. Mauritius only had one chance to attack, and they capitalized on that single opportunity to score.
I want to congratulate the team for today’s determination. We witnessed a lot of improvement, and I am proud of our performance.

This hard-fought draw is a testament to the team’s collective spirit and their ability to perform under pressure. Each player contributed to the team’s success, with their dedication shining through on the field.

03.12.2023 – Day 1 | Seychelles Women’s Team Heads to Mauritius for 2 Friendly Matches

September 23, 2023

On September 23, 2023, Rose, a representative from the Seychelles Football Federation (SFF), revealed that the technical department has conducted research and put forth a new proposal for the local women’s football competition.

According to Rose, the current format of playing 11 versus 11 in women’s competitions has resulted in a shortage of teams. Additionally, clubs are required to have a women’s team alongside their men’s team to meet FIFA’s club licensing criteria. Rose emphasized that this is a mandatory requirement.

To address these challenges and encourage greater participation, the SFF has decided to introduce an 8-a-side format for the women’s competition. The federation hopes that this adjustment will attract more clubs to join and foster the growth of women’s football in Seychelles.
