Mavericks 6-0 Rangers | SFF Cup – Preliminary Round

Mavericks FC displayed their power on the field as they secured a resounding 6-0 victory against Rangers in their recent encounter at Stad Popiler. The match, which saw a goalless first half, witnessed a remarkable turnaround in the second half, showcasing the tactical acumen of the Mavericks coaching staff.

While Rangers managed to hold their ground in the initial period, Mavericks came back with a renewed sense of purpose after the halftime break. The team talk during the interval proved to be motivational and on point, as Mavericks unleashed an impressive attacking display. Credit is due to the Mavericks coaching staff for their strategic guidance.

Emmanuel Tuffour opened the scoring for Mavericks in the 48th minute, followed by Travis Lesperance’s goal in the 55th minute, giving them a 2-0 lead. Jacob Gilindro added to the tally in the 63rd minute, while Tuffour struck again in the 74th minute to make it 4-0. Joshua Sinon scored in the 79th minute, and Lesperance completed the rout in the 89th minute, securing a commanding 6-0 victory. Rangers suffered a setback when Margus Durand received a red card in the 64th minute.

The young Mavericks team demonstrated their potential as strong contenders for promotion to the Seychelles Championship. Their performance in this match underscored their determination to fight until the last league round in pursuit of their promotion aspirations.
